MIF as a pleiotropic cytokine, immunomodulator, immunoregulator, participates in the mechanisms of im-mune defense, especially in the acquired immune response and is expressed in many organs and structures of the body. Its role in the pathogenesis of acute and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases is probable, although it has been studied superficially in the experiment. The studies were conducted on 60 adult white male laboratory rats weighing 200-250 grams, kept in a path-ogen-free environment on a standard diet and water conditions in the Research Center of the AMU. The aim of the study was a comparative study the structure of the intrapulmonary bronchial network, its cellular composition and changes in dynamics in the intact (normal), comparison (placebo, injection of saline) and main group after injection of "Macrophage migration inhibitory factor" (MIF) at the histological and elec-tron microscopic level.
